The Nominating Committee is pleased to present you with the slate of Board Officer candidates for the 2024-2025 Governance Year as follows:

President-Elect

Jacqueline Pointer, EA

My name is Jacqueline Pointer, EA, MT and I’m a Tax Supervisor at Kerkering Barberio, where I leverage my strong accounting and tax skills to manage a broad range of client engagements. For over eight years, I’ve honed my expertise in tax preparation, tax controversy, and complex tax situations. My commitment to accuracy and efficiency ensures clients receive the best possible service.

Beyond my professional role, I’m passionate about giving back to the community. Currently, I serve as the Chapter President of the FSEA ManaSota Chapter, a testament to my leadership abilities and dedication to professional development within the tax industry.

In this volunteer role, I’m enthusiastic about contributing my financial acumen, leadership experience, and collaborative spirit to this board. I believe my skills and dedication would be a valuable asset to the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents.

Vice President

Jesus Abikarram, EA – Jesus Zacarias Abikarram was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and moved to New York City at the age of one.  He moved in 2004 to South Florida where he currently resides.  Jesus is happily married to Lourdes Abikarram, with 3 daughters, Katherine, Anais & Kayla Marie.

Jesus began his career at just 18 years old when he opened his first office in Bronx, NY, offering Insurance and Tax Preparation; serving as the broker and the tax preparer.  In 1996 he added Life Insurance services with New York Life where he was recognized with several awards for his dedication and compassion in the industry.

In April 1998, he was asked to be an Allstate agent, a position he held as Exclusive Agent from 1998 to 2017.   Tax preparation continued during these years with Allstate and in 2009, he purchased 3 Liberty Tax Franchises.  Jesus served as a coach and business advisor to new owners of franchises.

In 2018 in anticipation of the 10th Anniversary, he stepped away from the Franchise world and “Freedom Tax Resolution” was born where Jesus continues to assist taxpayers in solving their problems with the IRS (Tax Relief).  His experience in taxation as ENROLLED AGENT with the IRS, Certification as Speaker, Coach, Trainer with the John Maxwell Team and his University Career from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in “Security Management” and Computer Science from Monroe College, allows him to take into account all aspects of a case of resolution and analyze them from several different points of view to diligently solve conflicts with the IRS in favor of taxpayers.

The most recent accomplishment was the Publishing of his first book “Free yourself from the IRS” which rapidly became an Amazon International Best Seller within days of publishing.  The book is currently being properly and grammatically being translated into Spanish.

Jesus currently serves as FSEA Vice President.  He has served as President of the Hallandale Beach Chamber of Commerce, Area Governor of the Rotary Club, Chairman of Rotary Means Business Fellowship, and Business Ambassador in Hallandale Beach, FL.

Shortly thereafter he joined the FSEA and served as the Audit committee chair.  He currently serves as FSEA Treasurer.

While still fairly new to being an EA he is very receptive to learning and always looking to expand his knowledge base.

Amber Peitzmeier, EA

My name is Amber Peitzmeier, and I am the owner of ALW Tax and Business Services located in New Port Richey. I have 15 years of experience in the accounting industry, 13 years of that involving taxation, and 10 years in business. I became an Enrolled Agent in 2022 after spending many years in the industry and falling more and more in love with the taxation side of my work.

I began my career in 2009 as the purchasing manager for a non-profit organization where I successfully implemented a full accounting system and put into practice a budgeting system that allowed the facility to save an additional 21% of its income in the first month alone. Shortly after, I became the general manager of the same facility and was heavily involved in the financial and tax side of the organization. The research, organization, and challenge quickly found a special spot in my heart, and I became passionate about spreading all I was learning to the public. In 2013, I left the organization on an employment level to make taxation my focus and career but continued to work with the organization by holding a position on the Board of Directors. My firm opened in 2014 where I began helping multiple non-profit organizations with the organization of their financial records and tax returns. In addition to non-profits, I also work extensively with the construction and legal industries.

My top values in my firm and personal life are service and relationship. I keep these things at the forefront of everything I do. Not just for my clients, but also for my community. In my off time I enjoy bringing these values to my community by volunteering my time working with injured or non-releasable wildlife. I am on the rescue team with Owl’s Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife and have also worked with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in their Sea Turtle and Aquatic Biology Department where I was given the Shining Star Award in 2021.

I am highly passionate about this industry and am excited to continue advancing and growing in my career.
