Membership Categories

Academic Associate membership

Eligibility:
Those in an accredited college or professional school in a tax, accounting, or finance program applying for a complimentary Academic Associate Membership, please provide one of the following:

Copy of your Class Schedule
Copy of your Transcripts
A letter from your Dean as proof of eligibility

Associate membership

Eligibility: Open to unenrolled preparers and aspiring EAs

Emeritus membership:

Emeritus status is for individuals who have fully retired from practice.
You must have already indicated to the IRS on Renewal Form 8554 that you desire “inactive retirement status.”
You must be a regular member in good standing with an active membership for at least one year in order to apply for Emeritus membership

FSEA member:

Eligibility: For Enrolled Agents only

SEE Passer Member

Eligibility:
To qualify for NAEA SEE Passer membership, candidate MUST agree to provide the NAEA membership department documentation showing that you passed the Special Enrollment Exam (SEE) within the last 12 months.

This should be one of the following:

Enrolled Agent License
Enrolled Agent Certificate
Prometric Score Reports for all three parts of the Special Enrollment Exam
