MICHAEL A. CARLISLE, E.A.

President-Elect.

He is currently retired from practice as an Enrolled Agent but continues to maintain his EA designation by completing the required continuing education. He has provided accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation services to individuals and small businesses since 1994.

He began his career working with a CPA firm during his first five tax seasons, gaining extensive experience in tax preparation. At the same time, he built his own practice while working full-time as a staff accountant in the accounting departments of multiple companies.

He obtained his Enrolled Agent license in February 2009 and represented taxpayers before the IRS. He successfully assisted clients with offers in compromise and negotiated installment agreements. He also represented clients in IRS audits, including achieving a no-change result in his first audit for a nonprofit client. In addition, he was an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, providing setup, training, and maintenance of clients’ QuickBooks data files.

He recognized early the importance of professional involvement and became a member of National Association of Enrolled Agents and Florida Society of Enrolled Agents upon receiving his EA license. He joined the Suncoast Chapter in October 2009 and has served in numerous leadership roles, including Chapter President and Board Member. He currently serves as FSEA Bylaws Chair, NAEA Awards Committee Chair, and NAEA Vice-Chair of the Bylaws Committee.

He has also contributed as an educator, serving as an instructor for Hillsborough County Community College and St. Petersburg College for their annual Tax Preparer Seminars. He has taught nonprofit requirements and Form 990 preparation at the FSEA state convention and conducted QuickBooks training for the Pinellas County Small Business Development Center. He has also trained accounting and tax professionals on preparing accurate and complete tax returns using QuickBooks.

Reshaye Greenlee

Vice President

A passionate accountant, seasoned business consultant, and dedicated educator with a wealth of experience in the financial and business sectors. With a robust accounting and project management background, Reshaye has made significant contributions to small businesses by empowering entrepreneurs, providing strategic guidance, and tailored solutions to help their businesses thrive.

As a Professor at Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry (FAMU SBI), Reshaye shares her extensive knowledge with the next generation of business leaders. Her engaging teaching style and commitment to student success inspire her students to excel in their academic and professional endeavors.

In addition to her roles in education and consulting, Reshaye assists businesses, investors, and nonprofits with resources that take their projects, programs, and organizations to the next level.


Reshaye’s expertise extends from business management to tax accounting, where she provides invaluable insights and services to individuals and businesses alike, helping them navigate the complexities of tax compliance and planning. As well as encouraging employees and colleagues to become enrolled agents.

Tamara Tarrant Smith, EA

Vice President

(“Tammy”) specializes in all aspects of small business accounting, individual, corporate and partnership tax preparation and tax planning.  A graduate of Hickey School for Business in St. Louis, Missouri, Tammy spent three years in public accounting (in Missouri and Illinois) before moving to Florida.  She then spent another four years concentrating on tax preparation before passing the Special Enrollment Exam (SEE) in 1991 to become licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent. 

She went back to school while working full-time in public and private accounting (medical and construction industries) and graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College before transferring to University of South Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2001.  After graduation, she continued in public accounting until she started her current business, Accounting For Success, in 2016.  

In October 2016, she joined the National Association of Enrolled Agents, Florida Society of Enrolled Agents, and the Suncoast Chapter of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents, and within eight months, she was serving as the Secretary for Suncoast Chapter for a two-year term.  In 2019, she became Vice President of Suncoast Chapter before transferring into the role of President in 2021.  She also served as a Director for FSEA during that same time. She is currently the Treasurer for Suncoast Chapter and serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for Florida Society of Enrolled Agents as the Board Treasurer.  

Tammy lives in Tarpon Springs, Florida with her dog, Reno, and enjoys raising butterflies, gardening, cooking, and anything to do with animals and nature.  She is a member of The Tarpon Springs Elks Lodge 1719 and volunteers for them and several local animal and homeless shelters.      

Amber Peitzmeier, EA

Treasurer

is the owner of ALW Tax & Business Services LLC, based in Tarpon Springs, Florida, where she provides tax preparation, bookkeeping, tax planning, and representation services to individuals and small businesses nationwide. With over 16 years in accounting and 13 years in tax, Amber brings a depth of technical expertise along with a practical, client-centered approach to her work.

Amber currently serves as Secretary of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents and President of the Suncoast Chapter, where she is actively involved in member engagement, continuing education initiatives, and strengthening the EA community. She also serves as Treasurer on the board of a nonprofit organization, where she is responsible for financial oversight, reporting, and supporting the organization’s mission through responsible stewardship.

She is passionate about community involvement and regularly contributes her time and expertise to service initiatives that support both her profession and the broader community. In addition to her technical work, Amber integrates a holistic approach to financial wellness, helping business owners align their financial strategies with long-term sustainability and personal goals. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Accounting to further expand her expertise.

Rehana Taj Shaik, EA, MAcc, MBA

Secratary

Rehana Taj Shaik, EA, MAcc, MBA, is a driven accounting professional known for her global perspective and strong technical foundation in taxation and financial services. She earned her Enrolled Agent designation in 2025 and holds both a Master’s degree in Accounting and an MBA in Finance. Her professional journey spans international and U.S. financial environments, including experience with Axis Bank in India and Wells Fargo, where she developed expertise in financial operations, problem-solving, and client service. She further strengthened her technical skills at Novogradac & Company LLP before joining a Big 4 firm in 2024, where she currently serves as a Tax Consultant. She is recognized for her adaptability, analytical mindset, and commitment to excellence, having earned multiple performance recognitions in her career. She brings a forward-thinking approach to the profession and is passionate about continuous learning, innovation, and contributing meaningful insights to the evolving landscape of accounting and taxation.

FSEA PRESIDENT-ELECT JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The President-Elect is elected by the membership to be an officer of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents (FSEA). The President-Elect serves as back-up to the President, and must be completely familiar with the President’s duties and responsibilities. At the end of a one-year term, the President-Elect automatically becomes President of FSEA and after that one-year term becomes Immediate Past President. If the President is absent, the President-Elect performs the duties of the President during that time. If the President is incapacitated or otherwise unable to complete his or her term of office, the President-Elect serves as

President during the remainder of the term. The President-Elect must know and understand FSEA’s core values, strategic plans, bylaws, and policies and procedures.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The President-Elect is a voting member of the Executive Committee.
  • The President-Elect assists the President and the Board in promoting the objectives of FSEA.
  • The President-Elect works closely with the President and the Executive Committee on existing and future projects to ensure a smooth transition in leadership from one year to the next.
  • The President-Elect establishes and maintains a close working relationship with the Executive

Committee to provide continuity of FSEA’s goals, objectives, purposes, core values, and strategic plans.

  • The President-Elect assists the incoming President in appointing or nominating potential committee and task force members and chairs.

FSEA SECRETARY JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The Secretary is the Chief Records Officer of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents (FSEA). The Secretary is elected by the membership and serves a one-year term. The Secretary manages meeting minutes to ensure effective administration of FSEA. The Secretary must know and understand FSEA’s core values, strategic plans, bylaws, and policies and procedures.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Secretary is a voting member of the Executive Committee.
  • The Secretary manages the minutes of the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors meetings and the Annual Member meetings. The Secretary, or designee, issues a meeting notice of the Annual Meeting at least 45 days prior to the meeting.
  • The Secretary verifies a quorum is present at each Board or Annual Members meeting.
  • The Secretary assists the President by tracking names of Board members who wish to speak during the meeting.

FSEA TREASURER JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The Treasurer is the Chief Financial Officer of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents (FSEA). The Treasurer is elected by the membership and serves a one-year term. The Treasurer is responsible for the sound fiscal management of FSEA and keeps the Board of Directors informed about FSEA’s ongoing financial condition. The Treasurer must know and understand FSEA’s core values, strategic plans, bylaws, policies and procedures and be proficient in QuickBooks.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Treasurer is a voting member of the Executive Committee.
  • The Treasurer ensures that FSEA’s incorporation and nonprofit status is maintained through the annual filing of required reports.
  • The Treasurer, working with the Executive Vice President (EVP), informs members of the Board of Directors of FSEA’s financial condition by overseeing and distributing periodic financial statements.
  • The Treasurer reports FSEA’s financial condition at each Board meeting.
  • The Treasurer, working with the incoming President, assists in developing the annual budget for review and approval by the Board of Directors at the first Board of Director’s meeting of the new fiscal year.
  • The Treasurer is a member of the Audit Committee.
  • The Treasurer reviews and authorizes expense reimbursement to the EVP.
  • The Treasurer is a signer on all FSEA bank accounts and may be asked to countersign checks written in excess of $15,000.00
  • In the unavailability of the President, the Treasurer can approve emergency expenditures

FSEA VICE PRESIDENT JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The Vice President is elected by the membership to be an officer of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents (FSEA). The Vice President serves as back up to the President-Elect, and must be completely familiar with the President-Elect’s duties and responsibilities. The Vice President must know and understand the FSEA’s core values, strategic plans, bylaws, policies, and procedures.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Vice President is a voting member of the Executive Committee
  • The Vice President assists the President and Board in promoting the objectives of the FSEA
  • As requested by the President, when the President-Elect is unavailable, the Vice President

represents the FSEA President at official FSEA functions

  • As assigned by the President, the Vice President undertakes other duties
  • The Vice President serves as the Chair of the Ethics
